What to expect during your first treatment?

Acupuncture treatment at FemmeForce Health is intended to be a relaxing and calming experience. Upon arrival, you will lay down on a massage table, either face up or face down. Heat, relaxation music, and dimmed lights are part of the atmosphere.

Once comfortable, your tongue and pulse will be assessed in order to carefully select the most appropriate points for your particular picture and health goals. This takes approximately 1-2 minutes. The average number of points selected is from 12-20.

The sterile, single use needles will be placed into each point, one by one. After the needles are inserted, they will be left in anywhere from 15-30 minutes. After the needles are removed, you can resume all day-to-day activities.

Acupuncture treatment protocols

  • Typically begin at 1-2x/wk for about 4 weeks

  • After approximately 4 weeks, sessions become spaced out based on your specific goals

  • Results typically occur within 4-6 sessions, but can be seen sooner

  • Treatments are cumulative in effect so commitment to regular sessions at the beginning is important to seek benefits
